- toasted white and black sesame seeds1 msk
- green onion/scallion, chopped1 msk
- sesame oil, roasted2 msk
- soy sauce1.5 tsk
- Shichimi Togarashi (Japanese seven spice)1.5 tsk
- kosher/sea salt0.5 tsk
- freshly ground black pepper0.25 tsk
METHOD
- 01Gather all the ingredients.
- 02Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil. Add the bean sprouts and cook for 1-2 minutes until crisp-tender. Be careful not to overcook.
- 03Quickly drain the bean sprouts in a colander, shaking well to remove all excess water.
- 04In a large mixing bowl, combine the roasted sesame oil, soy sauce, Shichimi Togarashi, salt, and black pepper.
- 05Add the warm, drained bean sprouts to the bowl with the seasonings and toss thoroughly to coat everything evenly.
- 06Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and garnish with chopped green onion, if desired. Serve immediately or chilled.
